Apple Picking – The Ultimate Autumn Tradition

On a perfectly crisp and sunny autumn day we went to Glorias Äppelgård to pick apples and pears. This is the second year in a row and it has already become a tradition. Even though most supermarkets have a good selection of local apples, I believe it is more fun to pick my own!  And if you don’t happen to have a garden full of apple trees then maybe you are lucky enough to live close to an apple farm, just like we do. This place have several different kind of apples to choose from. We went for one that is good for cooking since we are planning to make a year’s supply of apple sauce (and one or two apple pies). At Glorias you may sit down inside the cafeteria and try one of their delicious apple treats or why not buy one of many canned apple creations and bring home?

The farm is beautiful and there are many curious things to see. We even found some raspberries that were still good to eat. If you happen to be in the area any time soon it is definitely worth a visit!

Here are a few pictures from last years visit!
