Iris is not so found of drawing with her crayons anymore. A pity if you ask me since there is more than one big box of them in her room. Last night I was thinking of getting rid of them but then I came up with a better idea. Why not make some new mixed colour crayons instead. And so I did! These jewel shaped crayons are very easy to make and it will only take you about half an hour. Just follow my guide and you will see. I can ensure you that Iris’s old crayons became a lot more fun this way!
Step 1: All you need is some broken crayons and a silicone mold. The one I used is originally for making cake pops but you may also use the ones for making ice cubes. The important thing is that it is made out of silicon since it’s going into the oven later.
Step 2: Fill the mold with the broken crayons and place it in the oven on 175°C / 350°F for about 10 – 15 minutes. When all crayon pieces are melted you take them out and let them cool for about 10 minutes ( depending on the size ).
Once they have cooled you take them out of the mold and they are ready to be used!
